WHAT IS PROSPECT JOURNAL?

Launched in February 2009, PROSPECT Journal is an international affairs journal at the University of California, San Diego. The online journal serves as a forum for intelligent discourse by showcasing works created by students who wish to broaden their understanding of issues of contemporary and global relevance.

HOW CAN YOU JOIN US?

PROSPECT Journal will be holding its last informational session of the quarter on Thursday at 7:30 PM in Cognitive Science Building, Room 005. This will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in writing, editing, media production, or photography to learn more about the organization and how one can contribute to the Journal of International Affairs.

WHY SHOULD YOU SUBMIT?

*Connect and share ideas, experiences, and interests with your peers
*Learn about relevant issues from unique and diverse perspectives
*Better understand how the arts reflect and interpret contemporary issues
*Find out about local events including: lectures, art shows, and film screenings
*Distinguish yourself in future academic and professional pursuits

WHAT DO WE ACCEPT?

We welcome a variety of submissions, including but not limited to: academic papers (such as those from previous courses), freelance articles, travelogues, photography, and films. We welcome contributions from all majors and subjects and appreciate novel, different angles and perspectives on international issues. If you believe you have a relevant submission that does not fall into one of the aforementioned categories or would like clarification on any aspect of the following guidelines, please contact us directly to discuss your potential submission. All submissions MUST adhere to the guidelines on our website to increase accessibility among PROSPECT Journal’s diverse readership.
